Math Should Be Joyful
We built Babbage Calculator because we believe that complex math shouldn't be hidden behind academic jargon or clunky, outdated interfaces.
Our Mission
Every day, engineers, medical professionals, contractors, and students waste countless hours wrestling with spreadsheets and scribbling formulas on scrap paper.
We are on a mission to organize the world's most critical formulas into a single, unified platform. From calculating the exact shutter speed for astrophotography to determining the structural load of a retaining wall, we want to give you the answer instantly, accurately, and beautifully.
This website was founded and designed by Simeon Onaola (via Sim3on) in collaboration with Simlyst. The Babbage Calculator is part of a wider effort to make complex decisions easier to understand, with sister projects including UK property investment analysis at Bricks and Yield and emerging tools like Ragent.
Visible Methods
We publish formulas, assumptions, limitations, sources, and test status as each calculator completes review. Pages still awaiting that work are labelled provisional.
Ruthless Minimalism
No clutter. No confusing layouts. We believe tools should get out of your way and deliver exactly what you need in milliseconds.
Privacy First
Calculator inputs and results stay in your browser and are not sent to analytics. Sensitive calculators do not place entered state in share links.

Why "Babbage"?
We are inspired by Charles Babbage, the 19th-century polymath who conceptualized the first digital programmable computer. Just as he sought to mechanize math to eliminate human error, we are building the ultimate digital extension of his dream.
